The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has adopted chapter 26 of division 3 of the California Code of Regulations, regarding wastewater treatment plant classification, operator certification, and contractor operator registration for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification Program. The Office of Administrative Law approved the regulations on January 28, 2013. The regulations will become effective on April 1, 2013.
