California Wastewater Plant Classification

The California State Water Resources Control Board has amended the California Code of Regulations regarding plant classification for aerated pond plants that utilize advanced aeration such as Parkson’s Biolac® systems. Biolac® is an innovative activated sludge process that allows for extended sludge age to create an extremely stable system that is easy to operate.

Lamont Public Utility District  Biolac System Annual Maintenance. Aqua Operations, Inc., is contracted with the Lamont Public Utility District to provide wastewater plant operations, supervision, and training of the District’s staff. This system is Parkson Biolac system and is considered a “modified pond” system under the new regulations.
